Dexon concludes another successful exhibition at the 20th annual Argentina Oil & Gas Expo (AOG) last Friday.
The Latin American and Argentine Market
For over 20 years, Dexon has been working in the Latin American market, and over the last few years, we have intensified efforts to expand our footprint in the region. Our presence at AOG marks an important step in tapping into Latin America’s abundant resources and offering safe, practical solutions to operators across the industry.
In Argentina, the spotlight is currently on Vaca Muerta, one of the world’s largest oil and gas reserves that boasts an estimated 16.2 billion barrels of oil and 308 trillion cubic feet of natural gas. As interest in this region swells, Dexon is ready to play a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient operations for upstream operators.
Dexon’s Tools for the Job
With a strong technical portfolio, Dexon is well-positioned to support the needs of operators across Latin America.
The highlight for clients and visitors at this year’s AOG was Dexon’s robust UT fleet.
Tools included:
▫ The UT-R for short-distance plastic and steel pipes
▫ The UT-MC Ring for precise metal loss detection
▫ The UT-MC Octopus for metal loss detection in thick mediums
▫ The UT-CD Hawk for detecting metal loss and crack detection and sizing
All these tools make use of three-way pig valves that minimize operational disruptions. The tools are also highly customizable, able to offer tailored solutions for unpiggable lines.
The UT fleet has proven itself capable in the field countless times. In the last year alone, Dexon has inspected sevaral difficult lines, including:
▫ A challenging 3" nitrogen line with 1.5D turns in Chile
▫ A crack and metal loss inspection of an offshore line in Brazil
▫ An 81km crude oil line inspection in Argentina
▫ 30km of crude oil lines in Ecuador
Dexon’s Lasting Connections
Dexon is proud of its accomplishments in the region and was pleased to have the opportunity to connect to old friends and make new ones at this year’s AOG.
We would like to thank everyone who made this exhibition both memorable and productive. In the future, we look forward to strengthening these connections and working side-by-side with operators to ensure the safe development of the region’s tremendous natural resources.
