Dexon Technology Europe wrapped up PTC Berlin last week, and our representatives, Dennis Vogel, Markus Blust, and Stephan Tappert, left with one clear takeaway: 𝗚𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 (𝗨𝗧).
In addition to highlighting interest in UT, the event reinforced Dexon’s place as a serious player in the European market.
We met with operators from all over the globe and across industries, sharing ideas, showcasing technology, and learning from our peers.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth or participated in the ongoing conversations. You made this year’s PTC the success that it was. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Hydrogen loomed large as Europe shifts to green energy, and the topic of pipeline inspection was of particular interest as countries like France face tightened regulations.
With stricter standards and more pipelines being repurposed for green energy, UT demand is set to surge by 2026. Dexon’s tools and skill set are well-positioned to meet the growing demand.
A joint Dexon-Teréga paper by Stephan Tappert and Anthony Da rosa showed Dexon’s capabilities firsthand, presenting a case study of UT helping safely bring one of France’s first hydrogen pipelines online.
The Dexon-Teréga presentation generated tremendous buzz—and inspired a bit of traditional engineering skepticism.
Operators were reluctant to use liquid batching for UT inspections of hydrogen pipelines.
Markus Blust and Dennis Vogel’s paper, widely distributed at the booth, gave a strong argument for why UT is often the best option for hydrogen operators.
Alongside Dexon’s literature and presentation, Pipeline Services International (PSI), one of Europe’s leading service companies, hopped over to Dexon’s booth to discuss with operators about the potential of UT in gas lines, soothing fears and answering queries.
Despite its need for a liquid medium, UT’s popularity for gas lines continues to grow due to the method's high precision, particularly for cracks. 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗧𝗖
